Alumni Testimonials

Hello all, my name is Kierra York and I and I am a proud student who is currently enrolled at the UNSINKABLE Albany State University. I am proud to say that I am also an alum of the pristine organization of STING Inc. STING has truly molded me into the young woman I am today and I can’t help but be eternally grateful for all this organization has done for me. Between networking, community service, and character development, STING has truly been a life-changing experience. I would like to thank the donors of the Jeremy Hill scholarship as they have helped me continue to chase my dreams of being a certified Athletic Trainer. My accomplishments would not have been anywhere near executed without the help of STING. Thank you Jeremy, thank you STING, thank you Mrs.Geneva! Words can’t describe how grateful I am to be able to say “I am STING ALUM!

“Having STING in my Life and the Life of my daughter for the last 5+ years has really caused me to find my purpose in the lives of young people! Being from out of state in CA, I went to College on all scholarships. It was my hope and dream to find like-minded individuals who believed in the same ideals of not paying for college as my parents nor I had to do.”

By my obedience in attending a Women’s Bible Study at a sister-church, I was able to have that dream to come true! It was in the form of meeting Mrs. Geneva Vanderhorst at this Women’s gathering  some years ago and her introducing her non-profit-STING to me that has kept me on my quest to help young people reach their goals one student at a time~

The Sting Inc community has been a HUGE part of my professional development since I was in middle school. I attended the first college tour with STING Inc my junior year in high school (2011), and was introduced to college and life after high school for the first time ever. The college tour experience helped me prepare for college and I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to visit different colleges before attending.

I’ve graduated college in 2018 and as an alumnus of STING Inc., I make it a personal goal to always support and mentor the youth of the community today.

I enjoy attending STING community events and volunteering to make a positive impact in my community! Thank you STING Inc for making a difference in my life and so many lives in the Metro Atlanta community!

Thank you for creating STING
